Travel Quick Tip – Children’s chopsticks.

kids chopsticksI’m not sure what your children are like but mine are VERY stubborn.  When we dine at Asian restaurants or bring take-away home they both insist on using chopsticks.  As a result my four year old is proficient with chopsticks but meals were even slower and more challenging than usual in the interim.  This time around, with another determined two year old we have cottoned onto children’s chopsticks, that are joined at one end.  They make grabbing those teeny tiny bits of rice ever so much easier.  If you are traveling somewhere where chopsticks are the norm, or even planning on a visit to your local Chinese restaurant throw a pair of children’s chopsticks in your bag.  The ones featured in the picture come with Noodle Box’s children’s meal however you can also pick them up at home-wares stores.

  1. Thank you Uncle Ben. Can we score a “Hell on Wheels” t-shirt? I’ll get a shot of one of the boys wearing it next time we take a historical train trip.

  2. Yes! Kids choppers are available at Made in Japan, they are a little shorter than grown up ones which is nice for smaller hands.
Also, the joiny bit also fits the rest of our sets of chopsticks so when mummy and daddy need to set an example we can.
