I love, love, love the idea of a White Christmas. It’s not going to happen for us this year unfortunately however there is a compromise. I will be taking the family to Santa’s Magical Kingdom right here in Melbourne. Okay it may not be European Christmas night markets, or Santa Claus’ village in Lapland, but as far as the kids are concerned it couldn’t get any better. My boys and I had a look at the website together and there was so much excitement from them just at the thought of visiting.
Santa’s Magical Kingdom is opening on the 15th of November and is running until the 23rd of Decemeber. The event is going to include:
- A magical Christmas walk-through wonderland
- Snow Castle and Activity Land
- Meet Santa and receive a gift.
- A spectacular Christmas themed circus performance.
- Roving Christmas characters.
- A Christmas craft area where families can decorate their own gingerbread.
- Gingerbread land.
- Christmas storytelling with Mrs Claus
- Amusements and rides including a Ferris Wheel, Santa’s Slay Ride and Australia’s largest super slide.
Santa’s Magical Kingdom will be found at the Caufield Racecourse and tickets are on sale now, through the booking office on 1300 307 740 or via Ticketek.
I am always happy to run a giveaway though and one lucky reader will win a family pass (two adults and two kids) to Santa’s Magical Kingdom. To enter just add a comment telling me your favorite Christmas memory in 25 words or less.
And for those that know me and are wondering, I will be saturating my kids with the real and ancient meaning of Christmas too.
Terms and Conditions: Entries close at 8pm on Friday November 7th 2014. Entries are open to Australian residents only aged 18 and over. The competition is a game of skill. The winners will receive one family pass for Santa’s Magical Kingdom. The winners will be announced on the Bubs on the Move Facebook Page when the giveaway is complete. Prize is not transferrable and not redeemable for cash. Bubs on the Move will have the right to use the winner’s name on social media and newsletters.

Simply witnessing the joy every year on Christmas morning on my three daughter’s faces never ceases to fill my heart to the brim with love!
Sneaking down in the dark, feeling my Christmas stocking, trying to guess what’s inside. Then back to bed, feeling so excited for the morning!
Hi Alison,
Congratulations – you are the prize winner! I will email you directly to organize your prize.
Thank you so much!! (I can still remember what it was in my stocking… Some plastic bangles.. I tried to guess what it was all night!)
The first Christmas I spent with my husband, sitting quietly in front of the tree before we joined the rest of our family is a memory I treasure.
I have a new favorite every year! Last years the looks the twins gave when they saw santa had given them what they asked for
As a child, having to nap so I could attend midnight mass. The anticipation of gifts, a family get together and big lunch was exciting!
Christmas Eve, when all my brothers and sisters (and nieces and nephews) meet up for a BBQ. Best fun ever!!
My favourite Christmas memory is a pretty simple one, but it lies at the heart of what makes this holiday so special to many young children: namely, believing in Santa
it was a cold christmas and my sisters and brother were sitting in front of the fireplace and hanging up our stockings on the mantelpiece
Visiting England aged seven, playing conkers and making snowmen. So much want to do this with my own daughter!
As a child sitting in front of the fireplace on a cold Melbourne christmas with my siblings then hanging our stockings up on the mantelpiece
I prayed for a piano. One Christmas morning I saw a piano wrapped in a big pink bow in our living room.It was magical.
Christmas morning when I saw 6 and my sister was 4, waking up and discovering the swing in the backyard, I will never forget the magical feeling I had.
