I was thrilled today to discover that I am a finalist in the Kidsafe Blogger Competition. Kidsafe is a not for profit organization that strives to make the world a safer place for kids by preventing accidental death and injury. My story “The day I hit a little girl with my car.” is included in the list of ten entries that have been shortlisted.
What I would love, is for you to have a look at all the shortlisted entries. They can be found on the Kidsafe Facebook page. There is some stellar advice there that just may save your own, or someone else’s child’s life.
The winning entry will be chosen by tallying votes. While it is lovely if you would like to vote for my entry, please don’t feel you must as my own entry is in great company and all the finalists deserve to win. By voting for any of the ten finalists though, you will go in the draw for a terrific prize, a children’s “Grosuit”. If you are so inclined, it would also be wonderful if you could share any of the entries that resonate with you on your own Facebook pages, in the interest of communicating a strong safety message more widely.
