It is my intention to offer high quality, evidence based travel health advice in this blog. The advice offered here is however no substitute for a visit to your doctor. Ideally everyone planning to travel internationally should visit their family doctor (or a doctor with travel health expertise) at least 6-8 weeks prior to their date of departure.
In addition, it is important that anyone who becomes unwell after returning from international travel seeks prompt advice from a medical doctor.
